|About the foundry|
The steel foundry operating under the name of AUSENIT Co. as from 1st January 1991 was established
1964 to meet the requirements of the mines in Mecsek, Hungary.
Upon completion of the general reconstruction in 1974 the annual capacity 2.500 tons and the foundry
has become one of the leading Hungarian prodicers of special steel resisting excessive stress.
The foundry is furnished with up to date material handling equipment , an arc furnace of 1,5 t capacity
and two induction furnaces of 0,6 t capacity each, enabling to apply the required technology for the steel
The moulding methods applied vary accordig to the volume of series , the quality requiremnts and the mass.
Manual and mechanical bentonite sad moulding and shell moulding are applicable.
When manual moulding the maximum mass of casting can be 850 kgs.
The casting are heat treated in electric furnaces,automation of which was completed in 1991 to further
improve the quality.
The quality control is effected in a well equiped laboratory.
